DESCRIPTION
Re-regrouping is a research project that spanned half a year and resulted in a thesis project, a two-channel video work and performance lecture both presented at Door Open Space. It aims to depict the organizational, and instructional side of resistance.
Through this research I explored the common practices that are shared between movements, over the course of years, over decades. Parallel tactics and means of communication reveal themselves as I sift through various archives, and texts, through videos, audio recordings, imagery and other documentations. In an attempt to marginalize the central imagery and slogans that make up moments of insurrection, their choreographed nature is revealed. I question what hides behind the perceived chaos, the `heat of the moment ́, the disturbances that present themselves as spontaneous.
